Wonderful aromas of red fruits, minerals and balsamic, with hints of rose, spices and wax. The palate is tangy and pleasant, with rich flavors of red fruit, spice and minerals as well as a very persistent finish that is well supported by tannins. The “1961” designation Barolo is a high-quality Barolo made from the best grapes on their estate, commemorating a significant year in their history, the year the Oberto family began estate bottling of their wines in the La Morra region of Piedmont. Made from 100% Nebbiolo and aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months.
