The Royer family has been growing wine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for over a century. When Jean-Marie Royer was a child, his father passed away, and the family’s vineyards were leased to other growers. As a young man, Jean-Marie helped his grandmother tend her small plots, and upon her passing, he inherited a portion of the land. After completing his viticulture studies, he returned in 1985 to reclaim the family legacy, gradually expanding his holdings by purchasing parcels from relatives. Today, Jean-Marie farms six hectares, planted with 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah and Mourvèdre.
