For more than three generations, the Scotto family has been making wines. Their family run winery pays heritage to their original Italian-American ancestors who paved the way for future generations. In 1903, great, great grandpa Scotto immigrated from Italy to New York. His family settled in a Brooklyn brownstone, not far from the docks where he worked as a ship’s caulker by trade and a winemaker by heritage. He taught his sons how to make and sell wine, and they eventually opened Scotto’s Wine Cellars; and it’s still a Brooklyn neighborhood landmark after all these years.
