Ciabot Berton

The vineyards are located in the prestigious historic cru of La Morra, on the slopes facing towards Alba. The Oberto family have early origins reaching as far back as 1200. In the end of the 1950s, Luigi Oberto, along with his father Giovenale, were cultivating 2 hectares of Nebbiolo on the hill of Bricco San Biagio, and selling the grapes at the Alba market. From the 1990s, Luigi’s children Marco, an oenologist, and Paola, an agronomist, began working with him.
