Established in California’s historic Livermore Valley of the San Francisco Bay AVA in 1996, Darcie Kent is family-owned & operated producing estate-grown wines from four distinct vineyard sites totaling 68 acres. Livermore’s ideal combination of elevation (up to 1,000 feet above sea level), persistent breezes, and an impressive 40-degree diurnal swing (warm days/cool nights) work in concert to extend hang-time producing deeply colored wines with natural acidity and fully ripe flavors. Darcie’s family works closely with the acclaimed Hungarian-born winemaker Julian Halasz in crafting each wine for Almost Famous Wines by Darcie Kent. This “next generation” portfolio features the brands Firepit, Pistachio Lane, Dog Day, Wine Without Borders, and Almost Famous Methode Champenoise. Each brand donates a portion of its proceeds to a local charity.
