Bodegas Arzuaga

The Arzuaga winery is located in Valladolid, in the heart of the prestigious Ribera del Duero DO. The wines are crafted from grapes grown on La Planta, the Arzuaga family estate in Quintanilla de Onésimo. This exceptional site offers ideal conditions for vine-growing, with ample sun and just the right amount of moisture to ensure perfect ripening. The vineyard coexists in harmony with native flora—pines, holm oaks, and savin juniper—and fauna such as wild boars and red deer, reflecting the Arzuaga family’s deep respect for nature. Covering 1,400 hectares (3,500 acres), La Planta lies in the heart of Ribera del Duero’s famed Golden Mile. In the early 1990s, Florentino Arzuaga acquired the estate, planted vineyards, built the winery, and began crafting wines that express the richness of this remarkable terroir.
