Born in 1965 on the iconic Côte du Py hill, Laurent Gauthier comes from a long line of growers as his family estate dates back to 1834. After completing his studies in 1983, he launched his own 2.5-hectare vineyard. In 1991, he took over his father’s estate, and today, his son Jason works alongside him in the vines. A perfectionist in the vineyard, Laurent takes great pride in crafting wines that reflect precision and place. He currently farms 2 hectares on the famed Côte du Py in Morgon, known for its southern exposure and distinctive soils of blue granite and manganese.
